Martin has worked within the Australian performing arts industry for over 10 years, and brings a versatile and unique background to ISA. Martin’s approach to training is holistic, and grounded in 14 years of leadership experience as an officer within the Australian Army.

After a successful career in Defence, Martin made the daunting leap to pursue his love of acting and as a result, is the only graduate of both the Royal Military College of Australia and the full time acting course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (2009).

Martin’s approach to training is holistic, and grounded in fourteen years of leadership experience as an officer within the Australian Army. After a successful career in Defence, Martin made the daunting leap to pursue his love of acting and as a result, is the only graduate of both the Royal Military College of Australia and the full time acting course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (2009).

As an actor, Martin has worked extensively in TV, Film and theatre. Credits include, City Homicide, Packed to the Rafters, Blood Brothers and most notably, the feature film Backyard Ashes and the Sydney Theatre Company’s groundbreaking T he Long Way Home. Martin has also worked consistently in TV and Radio advertising, appearing in various national campaigns. Martin is also owner and Operations Director of Provoke Performance, and lead facilitator for Goodfellas Education. Martin’s acting training philosophy is one of self empowerment. The ability to generate opportunity where none exists, and maintain a strong sense of artistic and professional integrity is critical to an actor’s success. Underpinning this must be an unrelenting joy of the craft. Martin applies this ethos to his own work as an Actor, Presenter business owner and Co Head of Acting at the International Screen Academy.
